The precedent set by the 2018 South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. Supreme Court decision allows states to tax remote sales. This directly affects how RcadeTrade and every other e-commerce website collects tax. RcadeTrade sellers DO NOT need to collect sales tax. RcadeTrade collects and remits sales tax on behalf of our sellers.
RcadeTrade will automatically collect tax for orders placed in states that collect sales tax. Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on the buyer's shipping zip code. When a buyer places orders from multiple vendors, each order will be taxed at the rate based on the buyer's shipping address.
Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon do not collect sales tax.
